Cataloguing Design Ideas

One of the great things about building your own boat is taking great ideas from other builders/designers and incorporating them into your boat. Here's a list, with some photos of some of the design elements we want to incorporate into our build.

Exterior (Top Sides)

Mast & Boom

A TW28 was professionally built a few years ago in Turkey for a gentleman named Yavuz. His boat had a mast & boom which would mostly be used for hoisting and landing the tender (dingy) on the cabin top. I really like this idea and want to incorporate one into our boat. You can see the mast and the extended hard top.


Cockpit Hard Top

Here's another TW28 built in Turkey this year. It also has the extended hard top. Great addition to a boat where you need shelter from the sun and elements.



Swim platform

Pretty much every boat needs a swim platform. It makes reboarding the boat easier whether its from the water or the dock.
